Cookie Policy

1. What a cookie is
A cookie is a small file placed on your device when you visit a site, and sent back to the server on subsequent visits. Some are essential to the operation of the service, others are not.
2. Our stance
No audience-measurement, advertising, behavioural-tracking or social-network cookie is set. The site contains no advertising tracker, no pixel, no third-party tag, and no font loaded from an external service.
The only cookies set are used to run the service, protect it against abuse, and secure payments.
3. Cookies set by Atomios
| Name | Purpose | Duration | Characteristics |
|---|---|---|---|
atomios_locale | Remembers the chosen display language | 1 year | Accessible to the page script, contains only the language code |
atm_session | Maintains your authenticated session | 7 days | Not accessible to scripts, transmitted only over a secure connection, restricted to the site |
atm_demo | Counts the trials run on tools available without an account, in order to prevent abuse | 24 hours | Not accessible to scripts, contains a random value unrelated to your identity, relies on no IP address |
These three cookies are strictly necessary or functional. As such, they are exempt from the prior collection of your consent, in line with the position of the French data-protection authority (CNIL). They allow neither identifying you beyond the use of the service, nor tracking you across other sites.
4. Cookies set by our providers
4.1 Payment provider
When you access the page for entering or managing a payment method in your management area, our payment provider sets its own cookies, intended for fraud detection and securing the transaction.
These cookies:
- are set only on this page, and never during ordinary browsing on the site;
- are set and read by the provider, which determines their duration and content;
- serve a payment-security purpose.
They are set only if you voluntarily initiate a payment operation. If you never access this page, they are never set. For details, refer to the provider's privacy policy, whose identity appears in the Privacy Policy.
4.2 Domain name and email
The management of the atomios.me domain name (DNS) and the routing of inbound email are handled by a third-party provider. This provider does not intercept the site's web traffic (no proxy, no content-delivery network) and sets no cookie during your browsing. No third-party cookie is therefore set apart from that of the payment provider described in §4.1.
5. Your consent
Given the configuration described above, the cookies set fall within the categories exempt from prior consent: they are either strictly necessary for the operation of the service, or strictly necessary for the security of the payment you voluntarily initiate.
No consent banner is therefore displayed, which is a deliberate choice: we prefer to set no unnecessary tracker rather than set some and ask you to accept them.
This position will be reviewed if the service comes to integrate an audience-measurement tool or any other tracker not falling within these categories. Should that happen, a mechanism for collecting and withdrawing consent would be put in place and this page updated.
6. Managing cookies
You can at any time configure your browser to refuse cookies or delete those already set. The procedures vary by browser and are described in its help.
Consequences of a refusal: blocking the cookies described in §3 prevents the service from working. You will no longer be able to stay signed in to your management area, and the chosen language will no longer be remembered. Blocking the payment provider's cookies prevents adding and managing a payment method.
7. Local storage
The site uses no persistent storage mechanism in the browser apart from the cookies described above.
8. Going further
The processing of your personal data is described in the Privacy Policy. For any question: [email protected].
